Collab.Land, the popular community management tool, is launching its own governance token, COLLAB, and airdropping it to over 2 million eligible users across 43,000 Web3 communities.
Top 100 communities using the tool, including NFT projects like Axie Infinity and Adidas, can also claim tokens after a special proposal process. The token claim has begun on February 23, and the airdrop represents 25% of the token supply, making it the largest in the history of crypto communities.
Collab.Land is widely used by DAOs to automate community management and calls itself the creator of "token-gating." The governance token and upcoming DAO will be launched on Optimism.
