Dell and VMware set the ball rolling for telcos to go cloud-native

Dell and VMware are partnering to enable network operators to deploy virtual network and cloud-native functions through the VMware Telco Cloud Platform, which offers telco-grade resilience and service availability. This will enable operators to modernize through virtualization and cloud-native technology, with Dell's PowerProtect Data Manager solution providing data protection over virtual and physical infrastructure.

VMware's Telco Cloud Platform offers virtualization to telcos, with 5G getting started and deployed. Telcos can use the Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab solution, which offers an ideal testing ground for innovation with automation tools.
