102 — Deploying resources on Kubernetes with GitOps and Terraform

This article covers deploying resources on Kubernetes using GitOps (FluxCD) and Terraform. GitOps is an approach to automating infrastructure resource management using Git as the source of truth. The article explains why FluxCD is chosen for this tutorial and how it offers multiple approaches to manage Kubernetes resources.

Terraform is still used for certain types of resources, like Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs). The article demonstrates how to set up GitOps tools in an optimal manner and use them effectively by deploying the Flux v2 stack and Sealed Secrets on a managed Kubernetes cluster. It also covers deploying Helm Charts using FluxCD and setting up notifications with the notification controller.

In summary, the article shows how to successfully deploy a GitOps stack on a managed Kubernetes cluster using Terraform, Flux v2, and Sealed Secrets to manage Kubernetes resources.
