Google Cloud is set to become a validator on the Tezos network, allowing its corporate customers to deploy Tezos nodes to build Web3 applications on the network.
This move marks Google Cloud's latest integration with a blockchain network, following node-hosting services for Ethereum projects and becoming a validator on Solana. The integration demonstrates tech giants' growing interest in blockchain and Web3 projects, and may inspire other firms to move into the industry, knowing they can do so using infrastructure with the scale and resilience provided by companies like Google.
Google Cloud has also shown awareness of the specific security risks present in the digital asset industry, including the relationship between hacked accounts and malicious actors mining cryptocurrency.
