Creating a Rancher-launched Cluster
In order to discover more about the different features that Rancher Manager offers, like certificate rotation and cluster backup/restore, we are going to create a Rancher-launched cluster in the next sections and discuss these features in detail. We are going to use DigitalOcean as the cloud provider and RKE2 as the Kubernetes distribution. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Click on
Global>Cluster Management>Add Cluster. - Select DigitalOcean as a provider and RKE2/K3s as the Kubernetes distribution.
- You may need to configure your token for DigitalOcean in the
Cloud Credentialssection. - If DO is not available, you need to go to
Drivers>Node Driversand enable the DigitalOcean driver.
Enable DigitalOcean driver
We are going to use the following settings:
Cluster Name:do-cluster
End-to-End Kubernetes with Rancher, RKE2, K3s, Fleet, Longhorn, and NeuVector
