Node Agent

While the cluster agent (cattle-cluster-agent) is responsible for managing the cluster resources, the cattle-node-agent is used to interact with nodes when performing cluster operations. Examples of operations include creating or backing up etcd snapshots, upgrading the Kubernetes version, performing node maintenance, and so on.

Another useful feature of the cattle-node-agent is that it can be used as a fallback system—an alternate strategy—to connect to the Kubernetes API of the managed cluster when the cattle-cluster-agent
