What Are the Limitations?

Agent mode disables querying and alerting, so those responsibilities must move to a central Prometheus server or another compatible system. That trade gives you a lighter, stateless scraper, but you lose local evaluation. For most users choosing agent mode, this is expected rather than surprising, yet it remains a real limitation.
