Amazon Inspector now allows customers to search its vulnerability intelligence database

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launch of a new Vulnerability Intelligence Database for Amazon Inspector, its automated security assessment service.

  • The new database includes information about common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs), including their severity, impacted platforms, and links to additional information.
  • The Vulnerability Intelligence Database will enable Amazon Inspector to identify and report on CVEs in a more timely and accurate manner.
  • Customers can use Amazon Inspector to run security assessments on their AWS resources and receive a list of security findings, including vulnerabilities, to prioritize and remediate.
  • The launch of the Vulnerability Intelligence Database is a significant improvement for Amazon Inspector users, as it provides a more comprehensive and up-to-date source of information about known vulnerabilities.
  • This will enable customers to quickly identify and remediate vulnerabilities in their AWS resources, thereby improving the security posture of their infrastructure.
