AWS Step Functions now have support for resilient deployment with version aliases, allowing for easy continuous deployment and safer releases into production. This capability includes the ability to maintain multiple versions of workflows, track versions used in executions, and gradually deploy workflows using industry-standard techniques such as blue-green and canary style deployment, with the added benefit of fast rollback to increase deployment safety and reduce downtime risk.
