Debugging a FUSE deadlock in the Linux kernel

Netflix's compute team manages its containers, including auto-scaling deployment, issue remediation, etc. Recently, they had a strange issue involving a custom internal fuse file system. The blog post describes the problem and how they fixed it by digging into the kernel code and discovering thread concurrency and signal handling caused a deadlock.
