Frontend cloud provider challenges Amazon S3, Google Cloud with serverless database solutions for the edge

San Francisco-based Vercel has developed a suite of serverless storage options alongside its cloud infrastructure partners Neon and Upstash.

Vercel's offerings include:

Vercel KV, a Redis-compatible database;
Vercel Postgres, a SQL database for the frontend cloud;
Vercel Blob, an object storage solution for the edge network.

The suite will enable developers to store and access data from anywhere in the world with low latency and high performance, Vercel claims.
