Google Cloud introduces Pathway Language Model (PALM) API, a large language model that responds to natural-sounding prompts and returns sensible prose.
PALM API can be used by developers to build top-quality content generation chatbots and other applications. Along with PALM API, Google also showcased its new AI productivity tool, Google Workspace.
The efficient model is currently only in private preview with Google planning to make it available to select developers soon. Additionally, makers will have a new low-code tool to prototype their ideas within the API.
Google plans to add more features and expand the use as business owners experiment with the different use cases. However, Google also emphasizes their adherence to AI safety standards and how the data won't be fed back into Google's large language models for nongoogle developer's use.
