Google Cloud upgrades itself with next-gen accelerator

Google Cloud has launched a new Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU), offering large VM shapes with less interference for customer workloads and network I/O. The IPU also handles storage chores via Google Cloud's new HyperDisk block storage service, delivering high storage throughput and IOP. The IPUs will cost around $0.536 per hour(pre-commitment) and will be available in three US regions and Google Cloud's Belgian, Netherlands, and Singaporean cloud.
