Google Launches Studio Bot, an AI Programming Assistant for Android Developers

Google has unveiled Studio Bot, an artificial intelligence tool designed to help Android developers create and debug apps within Android Studio.

  • The bot, which is still in the early stages of training, can provide code examples, suggest improvements and update APIs, with Kotlin support so far available.
  • Developers can request the bot to debug code and create test cases.
  • However, Google emphasises that the tool should not be the sole source of information, due to the potential for inaccuracy.
  • Studio Bot is currently only available within the Canary channel of Android Studio in the US.

The FAUN watches over the forest of developers. It roams between Kubernetes clusters, code caves, AI trails, and cloud canopies, gathering the signals that matter and clearing out the noise.
