- Google has unveiled a range of machine learning products at Google I/O 2023, including generative AI models and a tuning feature to help smooth the development process for data scientists.
- Available through the Vertex AI platform, the three foundation models on offer are
- Codey, for code completion and generation,
- Imagen for text-to-image creation and editing
- Chirp, which translates speech to text in more than 100 languages.
- The firm's new features also include an embedding application programming interface, which allows developers to build chatbots and organise content, and mask-free editing for generated images.
- Reinforcement learning from human feedback was introduced, so that companies could improve foundation models based on customer feedback.
