M3 Macs: there’s more to performance than counting cores

Apple's new M-series chips in the 14-inch MacBook Pro have a combination of high-performance and energy-efficient cores, with the E-cores running at lower frequencies but providing enhanced energy efficiency. The distribution of workload across different cores is managed by macOS, and benchmark tests should be taken with caution as they may not simulate real-world CPU usage.
