Migrating Mess With DNS to use PowerDNS

Three years ago, Mess With DNS was announced by Julia Evans as a playground to learn about DNS. However, various issues were reported, such as underscores not allowed in domain names, improper handling of CNAME records, and lack of support for certain record types. To address these problems, the decision was made to switch to PowerDNS, an open source DNS server with an HTTP API.
