Mirantis k0s updates simplify management of Kubernetes clusters

Mirantis has updated its open-source Kubernetes distribution, k0s, to be compatible with the latest release of Kubernetes 1.27 and to include support for containerD plug-ins.

  • The update enables pre-built system images, improving compatibility with upstream Kubernetes functionality and streamlining cluster security to harden existing Kubernetes systems, the company said.
  • k0s can be used for both large-scale datacenter and lightweight edge clusters, as well as laptops and Raspberry Pi systems.
  • The update also includes enhancements that simplify the installation of a Kubernetes cluster, and improvements to k0s' autopilot feature that simplifies cluster updates.
