Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RetroPGF) is a mechanism used to allocate funding to builders who have positively impacted the Optimism ecosystem.
In RetroPGF Round 2, 69 badgeholders voted to allocate 10M OP to 195 projects and people who have contributed to the development of the OP Stack.
Funding was distributed evenly across three categories: Education, Infrastructure, and Tooling & Utilities.
RetroPGF aims to create an economic model where public goods are rewarded with profit, and the completion of Round 2 is a significant achievement for Optimism's decentralization.
