TikTok is testing an AI chatbot called Tako. The bot appears on the right-hand side of a user's profile button and provides recommendations for content. Tako can answer user questions and make personalized suggestions based on natural language queries. The chatbot is being tested in select markets and is not currently available to all users. The long-term data retention policy and privacy aspect of chatbots are unclear, posing potential security risks.
