Twitter has announced that they are inviting the community to submit GitHub issues and pull requests to improve their recommendations algorithm . They have also shared two new repositories containing the source code for many parts of Twitter, including their recommendations algorithm, which controls the Tweets seen on the For You timeline.
In addition, they have posted more information on their Engineering Blog about their recommendation algorithm, and plan to continue sharing more code that doesn't present a significant risk to Twitter or its users.
Any security concerns or issues should be reported to their official bug bounty program through HackerOne.
