Visual Studio Code 1.78 debuts profile templates for Python, Java, Angular

  • The April 2023 release of Microsoft's Visual Studio Code introduces new features and improvements.
  • It includes built-in profile templates for Python and Java, allowing developers to customize the editor for specific workflows.
  • New default color themes, Dark Modern and Light Modern, replace Dark+ and Light+.
  • Other updates include deprecating the old diff algorithm, supporting TypeScript 5.1, improving the inline completion feature, adding Code Actions and Quick Fixes in the Source Control message box, and more.
  • Additionally, Visual Studio Code for the Web now supports committing files to Git Large File Storage (LFS) in GitHub repositories.
