Knock recently upgraded from Postgres 11.9 to 15.3 with zero downtime using logical replication, support scripts, and tools in Elixir & Erlang’s BEAM virtual machine. They planned the upgrade well in advance, minimizing customer impact and ensuring a smooth transition by gradually migrating tables and closely monitoring system performance.
