Watching AWX: Status Views, Notifications, Logs, and Prometheus Metrics
Status Views in the AWX UI
AWX provides several views to help monitor the status of your system, jobs, schedules, and more.
Dashboard
The dashboard is the first page you see upon logging into AWX. It provides a high-level overview of your system's status, including the number of hosts, inventories, and job templates, along with the status of recent jobs. The graph at the top shows the number of successful and failed job runs over a selectable time window. Note that a job could be a playbook run, an inventory sync, or a project SCM update.
Jobs
Each time you run a playbook, sync an inventory, or update a project, AWX creates a job to track the progress and status of the operation. The jobs view lists all jobs that have been executed on the system, including their status, start and finish times, and a shortcut to relaunch the job.
By default, the jobs view shows all jobs that have been executed on the system, but you can filter the list by status, type, date range, and various other criteria.
